“A savory gumbo of Fleetwood Mac meets Howlin Wolf.”

d’Lovelies were born in 2023, when Boulder-area musicians Rob Pate and Erin Friedman met while gigging in the local music scene and discovered a shared desire to build something original. Rob, an accomplished swing guitarist and longtime touring musician with the Blue Ribbon Healers, brought a deep catalog of original songs to the project. Erin, a classically trained vocalist with a lifelong love of traditional jazz and blues, was ready to dust off her jazz chops and dive into developing original material.
Together, they assembled a stellar group of Front Range jazz and swing musicians, including bassist Conner Hollingsworth of Greg Schochet and Little America and trombonist/vocalist Nate Bitter of Brothers of Brass. What emerged was a sound built around rich vocal harmonies, swinging grooves, tight musicianship, and songs that feel at home on a Denver dance floor, a New Orleans street corner, or a Boulder back porch.
d'Lovelies released their debut album, Great Horizon, in 2025 and have continued cultivating their signature sound through a growing catalog of original material. The band performs at venues, festivals, and private events throughout Colorado and beyond.
